About Research

[Scientific Research] Oncological Bioinformatics and Clinical Translation, including cancer biomarker identification with corroborative semantic knowledge (knowledge graph)  and omics data analysis in the context of clinical data, insights into molecular immunotherapy and disease-related pan-gut microbiota or probiotics, as well as the deep glance into the relationship between tumor genes, expression variations, molecular typing, molecular mechanisms,  function networks, the tumorigenesis, cancer developments, and clinical phenotypes.

[Application Research] Open source hard/soft-wares and intelligent medical POCT as well as medical education.

  • Arduino, Raspberry Pi and myPython Board for Point-of-care machine.
  • Drupal, Python, and R for omics data Management and mining.
  • Neo4j for Cancer Knowledge Graph and Artificial Intelligence.
  • H5P and MedVR for knowledge creation and medical education.
Research on oncological bioinformatics and clinical translation based on omics data, including:
  • 1. Intelligent semantics (e.g., Knowledge Graph), and bioinformatics:
  • 2. The identification and screening of tumor biomarkers in exosomes/immune checkpoints;
  • 3. The relationship of between Gut microbiota and cardiovascular disease,  as well as Gut microbiota and tumor therapy.
A training program of bioinformatics and biodata analysis for undergraduates, including (if you are interested, click here to continue):
  • 1. Open-source sci-training program for freshmen (Debian LinuxDrupalPythonRNeo4j);
  • 2. Sci-specialty training program for Sophomore(bio-literature reading, bioinfo-codes, and bio-database);
  • 3. Research practice for juniors (omics data mining)

The development training program of POCT devices for undergraduates, including:

  • Development of POCT devices based on open-source hardwares ( ArduinoRaspberry Pi, etc)
  • Development of cloud data service and user interface for POCT devices based on open-source softwares (DrupalEMQX, HomeAssistant, etc)
A plan for high-school students to broaden their eyesights and promote their self-learning ability, including a program for medical knowledge creation and dissemination based on open software such as DrupalH5PWebVR, and a program for the development of POCT (Point of Care Test) application based on open-source such as EMQXHomeAssistantOpenWRTOpenCV etc., and open hardware such as ArduinoRaspberry Pi etc.To date, two of the plans had been carried out:
