As a teacher at Chongqing Medical University, since April 2007, the advisor, Dr. Mingwei Liu has been actively involved in the theoretical and experimental teaching of Molecular Diagnostics, Genetic Engineering, Protein Engineering, bioinformatics, Clinical Biochemistry, Omics data for bioinformatics, etc.
Meanwhile, since 2015, Dr. Liu has been engaged in mentoring the innovation and entrepreneurship of undergraduates, leading the progress and development of Chong-chong medical Makerspace in Chongqing Medical University based on Open source such as Drupal, Ardunio, Respberry Pi, Python, R, WebVR, H5P, etc. As a consequence, Dr. Liu is one of the main principals and conveners of the Drupal Chongqing and RAPOD2 community.
- Research on tumor bioinformatics and clinical translation based on omics data and intelligent semantics:
- Intelligent semantics (e.g., knowledge graph) and biological context;
- Screening and identification of tumor markers in cancer exosomes and immune therapy of immune;
- The relationship between Gut microbes and cardiovascular disease along with Gut and tumor treatment.
- The sci-starting program for freshman (Debian Linux, Drupal, Python, R, Neo4j);
- The sci-training program for sophomores (literature retrieval and reading, bioinfo-codes, and biodatabase);
- The sci-practice program for juniors (omics-data mining for biomarkers).
